dictionary project

One major area of effort for the Prattville Rotary Club is education. Each year the club, in partnership with the Prattville/Millbrook Sunrise Rotary Club, distributes dictionaries to third grade students in both public and private schools throughout the Prattville/ Autauga County areas. Included inside dictionaries given to each student, is the Rotary Club four-way test. The Rotary Club four-way test is:
  • Is it the TRUTH?
  • Is it FAIR to all concerned?
  • Will it build GOOD WILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
  • Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?
Schools are notified in October each year of the delivery date. Club members personally deliver the dictionaries and take an opportunity to discuss character, education and the Rotary club with students.
